2004 Ballot Recount: Observer Report

December 19, 2004:
Report by Green Party Observer

Fulton County started and completed their recount on December 16. There were four counting stations and we had four witnesses. The county coordinator was Robert P. The three percent analysis resulted in no discrepancies, so the rest of the county was completed by machine. There were no incident reports and the daily reports will be mailed.

"The Director for Fulton told me that Triad is able to reprogram the computer to count only the Presidential ballots by remote dial-up. I do not know when after the election that occurred."

"The officials were very cooperative."

Countywide, Bush and Kerry each gained one vote from election night. County officials were cooperative.

I asked the Directors in both Henry and Fulton counties whether Triad had been out to service the tabulators after the election and both said no.

The Director for Fulton told me that Triad is able to reprogram the computer to count only the Presidential ballots by remote dial-up. I do not know when after the election that occurred.
